When a resident receives parole they are placed under the jurisdiction of the IDOC Bureau of Probation and Parole for supervision. The Bureau of Probation and Parole has standards of supervision based upon the resident's risk. Idaho law provides for sentences with a determinate and indeterminate length. Determinate means fixed.
